Lamborghini Countach Lego
"¡Countach!" The delicious italian coffee

I still remember the day I first saw a rocket about to take off. It was in my own house and I was surprised to realize that the takeoffs smelled like coffee. Those geometric shapes with sharp edges and the reflections of the metal through the flames were just magical. Since then I have always been fascinated by everything that had to do with spaceships or interstellar missions.
That was how, a few years later, and thanks to the Italian designer Marcelo Gandini, I was able to realize that spaceships did not only exist in space. It was practically instant. Countach! As soon as I saw that car, the indelible memory of the "Moka pot" came to my mind. Its defined lines, its angular and aerodynamic design; even the interior and the warning lights were clearly inspired by spaceships.
It was the 90s and although the space race was already a bit far away, Bowie's Space Oddity still sounded and we were many fans of all those stories and futuristic designs of the 70s.
I guess that's how my love for Lego began, trying to reproduce those wonders in the only way I could at that time. More than twenty years have passed and what the Lego was then for me, today are all the 3d modeling programs.
This is my little tribute to all that. To childhood. To Lego. To Italian design; and all those moments in a "tin can, far above the world..."
Regarding the realization of the project, I chose SolidWorks, where I modeled each and every one of the almost 300 pieces that make up the car and then assembled them. The design of lights and the rendering is done in Keyshot, to finally retouch in Photoshop.
